Abstract:Objective To analyze the screening status of stroke, and study further the prevalence and relate risk factors of stroke in Shanxi Province. Methods The cases (n=336 158, age≥40) were chosen from 7 base hospitals, 10 cooperative hospitals, 49 community health service centers and 28 township health centers in Shanxi Province from2011 to 2015.The risk factors were screened through filling risk assessment table of stroke high risk populations, physical examination, laboratory examination and carotid artery ultrasound examination, and the screening results were reported directly on the network. Results (1) There were totally 336 158 cases screened within 5 y, and among them there were 11 053(3.29%) cases of stroke and 54 311(16.16%) high-risk cases. (2) The risk factors were mainly, in Shanxi Province, smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, atrial fibrillation (AF) or valvular disease, lack of exercise or light physical labor, obvious overweight or obesity, and stroke family history, and among them hypertension, lack of exercise or light physical labor and smoking were at top three. (3) The constituent ratio of stroke risk factors was the highest in cases aged from 60 to 69, and stroke incidence was the highest in cases aged from 60 to 69.The higher the constituent ratio of stroke risk factors, the higher the stroke prevalence. Conclusion The prevalence of stroke was3.29%in populations aged≥40 in Shanxi Province. The major risk factors are hypertension, lack of exercise or light physical labor and smoking. The higher the constituent ratio of stroke risk factors, the higher the stroke prevalence. This study can provide theoretical basis for secondary prevention of stroke.
