Abstract:Objective To discuss the expression level of ischemia modified albumin (IMA) in rats with Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC), and analyze correlation between IMA expression and myocardial damage. Methods The rat model of TTC was established by using isoprenaline, and changes of heart function were monitored by using heart ultrasound and electrocardiogram (ECG). The expression levels of serum IMA were detected by applying ultraviolet spectrophotometer in all groups. The myocardial damage was scored by using pathological sections. The correlation between expression levels of serum IMA and myocardial damage scoring was analyzed by applying Pearson correlation analysis. Results The detections of heart ultrasound and ECG showed that fraction shortening (FS) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) decreased significantly, and left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESd) increased in TTC group compared with blank group and control group (P<0.05). ECG ST-segment elevated significantly in TTC group (P<0.05). The detection of ultraviolet spectrophotometer showed that expression level of serum IMA increased significantly in TTC group compared with blank group and control group (P<0.05). The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that IMA expression level was positively correlated to severity of myocardial damage (P<0.05), and was negatively correlated to LVEF. Conclusion IMA expression increases in rats with TTC, and is correlated to severity of myocardial necrosis and heart function with important academic value.
