Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effect or heart failure marker and hospitalization duration on treatment between milrinone and digitalis in patients with acute heart failure of chronic pulmonary heart disease. Methods Total of 90 patients with acute heart failure of chronic pulmonary heart disease were randomly divided into observation group and control group with each of 45 cases. Patients were treated by routine therapy plus digitalis in control group or by routine therapy plus milrinone in observation group for 10 days. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (91.11% vs. 71.11%, P<0.05).The number of hospital stays in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group [(11.48±1.41)d vs. (15.04±1.98)d, P<0.05].The plasma N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide precursor (NT-proBNP) in the observation group decreased more significantly than the control group [(233±58) ng/L vs. (392± 71) ng/L, P<0.05].There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (6.67% vs. 4.44%, P>0.05). Conclusion Milrinone is superior to improve clinical symptoms, cardiopulmonary function, plasma NT-proBNP and shorten the hospitalization duration than digitalis in patients with acute heart failure of Chronic pulmonary heart disease.
