Systematic review on Naoxintong Capsule in treatment of coronary heart disease complicated by hyperlipidemia

Abstract：Objective To review systematically curative effect and safety of Buchang Naoxintong Capsule in treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD) complicated by hyperlipidemia. Methods The databases of Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMbase, CNKI, CBM, VIP and WanFang Data were retrieved with computer for searching related randomized controlled trials (RCT), and then given the included RCT were reviewed and analyzed by using Revman5.3 software. Results There were totally 19 RCT included involved 1683 patients. Compared with control group, the total curative effect on blood fat was higher (RR=1.16, 95%CI: 1.06~1.26, P<0.0007), level of total cholesterol (TC) was lower (WMD=-1.03, 95%CI: -1.18~-0.88, P<0.001), level of triglyceride (TG) was lower (WMD=-0.63, 95%CI: -0.74~-0.53, P<0.001), level of high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) was higher (WMD=0.20, 95%CI: 0.15~0.28, P<0.001), and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) was lower (WMD=-0.66, 95%CI: -0.79~-0.53, P<0.001) in test group. The difference in adverse reaction incidence had no statistical significance between 2 groups. Conclusion Buchang Naoxintong Capsule has significant curative effect in treatment of CHD complicated by hyperlipidemia, and can effectively improve levels of TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C. There is no significant difference in adverse reactions compared with other drugs. Buchang Naoxintong Capsule is recommended for CHD complicated by hyperlipidemia, and more related studies with higher quality are needed to supplement the conclusion.
