Abstract:Objective To systematically review the comparison between shenfu injection with routine treatment of western medicine and simple routine treatment of western medicine for myocardial infarction with heart failure. Methods Database including PubMed, The Cochrane Library, EMbase, Web of Science, CBM, WanFang Data, VIP, and CNKI were searched electronically from inception to Aug. 2017 to collect RCTs about the comparison between shenfu injection with routine treatment of western medicine and simple routine treatment of western medicine for myocardial infarction with heart failure. Meta-analysis was performed by Stata 12.0 software. Results A total of 25 RCTs including 1823 patients were included. The shenfu group included 931 patients and the control group included 892 patients. The result of meta-analysis showed that shenfu injection with routine treatment of western medicine significantly improved the clinical efficacy (RR=1.38, 95%CI: 1.29~1.47, P<0.0001), reduced the risk of in-hospital mortality (RR=0.60, 95%CI: 0.47~0.78, P<0.0001) and the level of BNP (RR=-344.20, 95%CI:-435.93~-252.47, P<0.0001), as well as improve the left ventricular ejection fraction (RR=6.91, 95%CI:4.89~8.94, P<0.0001) and cardiac output (RR=0.84, 95%CI: 0.57~1.11, P<0.0001). Conclusion Based on the results of this meta-analysis, shenfu injection with routine treatment of western medicine for myocardial infarction with heart failure was associated with a better clinical efficacy and a lower risk of mortality, a lower level of BNP, as well as improved left ventricular ejection fraction and cardiac output. Therefore, shenfu injection with routine treatment of western medicine was better than simple routine treatment of western medicine for myocardial infarction with heart failure.
