Abstract:Objective To investigate clinical value of the serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 [25-(OH) D3], procalcitonin (PCT), N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in evaluating coronary artery disease (CAD) condition and recent prognosis. Methods 156 coronary heart disease patients enrolled as case group from 2015.01 to 2016.12 were divided into improved group and death group after three months follow-up. There were 16 patients in the death group; the average age was 63.5 ± 1.5 years. There were 140 patients in the improved group; the average age was 62.8 ± 2.2 years. 80 healthy volunteers were enrolled as the control group. Results Compared with the control group, the serum levels of 25-(OH) D3 and HDL-C were significantly lower in the case group. The levels of NT-proBNP, PCT, TC, TG and LDL-C were significantly of case group were higher than those of the control group. The levels of serum 25-(OH) D3 and HDL-C in the improved group were significantly higher than those in the death group. The levels of NT-proBNP, PCT, TC, TG and LDL-C were significantly lower than those in the death group. Compared with the control group, the LVEF in the case group decreased significantly, while the LVEDD and LVESD increased significantly. Compared with the improvement group, the death group LVEF decreased significantly, while the scores of LVEDD, LVESD and Gensini increased significantly. Conclusion The detection of serum 25-(OH) D3, BNP and PCT levels has clinical value in assessing the severity and prognosis of patients with coronary heart disease.
