Abstract:Objective To review systematically the preventive effect of nicorandil on contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN). Methods According to the requirements of evidence-based medicine, the databases of CNKI, WanFang Data, CBM, VIP, Google Scholar, PubMed, EMbase and The Cochrane Library were retrieved after established corresponding inclusion and exclusion criteria and search strategy. The relative literature on CIN prevention with nicorandil was collected and given a Meta-analysis by using Revman 5.3 software. Results There were 5 randomized controlled trials (RCT) included. The results of Meta-analysis showed that the incidence of CIN was significantly lower in nicorandil group than that in control group (RR=0.38, 95%CI: 0.23~0.62, P=0.0002), which indicated administrating nicorandil at the same time of using contrast had preventive effect on CIN. While the decreasing effect of nicorandil on content of serum creatinine (SCr) at different time points (24 h, 48 h, 72 h) and serum cystatin C (Cys C) at different time points (24 h, 48 h) had no statistical significance. Conclusion Nicorandil has some preventive effect on CIN incidence.
