Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes of High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), Red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and Platelet distribution width (PDW) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and their relationships with atrial fibrillation. Method A total of 60 AF patients were selected as AF group and 60 inpatients with sinus rhythm were selected as control group from Dec. 2015 to Sep. 2016. RDW, PDW were measured using automatic blood cell analyzer, hs-CRP was measured by ELISA, left atrium diameter (LAD), left interior diameter (LVD), interventricular septum (IVS), left ventricular posterior wall thickness (LVPW), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were measured by doppler echocardiography. There was no significant difference in sex ratio, age, the proportion of combined disease, red blood cell count and hemoglobin between the two groups (all P>0.05). The RDW, PDW, hs-CRP and LAD in atrial fibrillation group were significantly higher than those in control group (all P<0.05). Result of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that there were significant differences in the incidence of RDAD (OR=1.070, 95%CI: 1.015~1.121), PDW (OR=1.050, 95%CI: 1.019~1.082), LAD(OR=1.064, 95%CI: 1.021~1.098) is an independent risk factor for atrial fibrillation. Conclusion hs-CRP, RDW and PDW are elevated in patients with AF, and are risk factors for the onset of atrial fibrillation.
