Application of metaan command from Stata software in Meta-analysis

Abstract：The metan command was usually used in performing meta-analysis using Stata software. A new command named metaan was developed, which provides methods besides DL method, such as maximum likelihood, restricted maximum likelihood, profile likelihood, and a permutation model. In addition, this command reports various heterogeneity measures, including Cochran'sQ,I2,H2, and the between-studies variance estimate τ2. We aimed to introduce the utility of the metaan command in Meta-analysis in this paper.
