Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) in patients with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT). Methods PSVT patients (n=104) were chosen from the People's Hospital of Zhouzhi County of Xi'an City of Shaanxi Province from Mar. 2014 to Feb. 2016. The instant success rate and incidence of complications (hematoma due to vascular puncture, pericardial tamponade and atrioventricular block) were observed and analyzed after RFCA. The recurrence status of PSVT was observed during follow-up for 3 months. Results Among 104 patients, 45 with atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT) and 59 with atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT). The mean time of RFCA was (97.1±22.7) min. RFCA was instantly success in 102 patients and success rate was 98.1%. There were 2 patients with complications (one with hematoma at site of transfemoral puncture and recovered after treating, and one with irreversible III degree atrioventricular block and had permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation after surgery). There were 3 patients with recurrence of PSVT during follow-up for 3 months. Conclusion RFCA has significant clinical efficacy with higher safety and lower incidence of complications in treatment of PSVT.
