Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of bivalirudin among patients underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) via transfemoral pathway. Methods 63 coronary heart disease (CHD) patients who underwent PCI via transfemoral pathway from March 2015 to March 2016 in Anzhen hospital were enrolled. Based on the anticoagulant therapy during perioperative period, the patients were divided into bivalirudin group (n=30) and heparin group (n=33). The incidences of peri-operative bleeding and major adverse cardiac events (MACE) were compared between two groups. Results The incidence of MACE in bivalirudin group was 6.7%, which was higher than heparin group (6.1%), but there is no significant difference between two groups. The bleeding rate in bivalirudin group was lower than heparin group. Conclusion Bivalirudin is effective and safe in CHD patients underwent PCI via transfemoral pathway.
