Abstract:Objective To investigate vascular endothelial function and pulse wave velocity (PWV) in patients with H-type hypertension. Methods From 2015.9 to 2015.12, 250 primary hypertension patients were included in this study. There were 124 males and 126 females. Based on level of homocysteine (Hcy), the patients were divided into control group (Hcy<10 μmol/l) (50 patients) and H-type hypertension group (Hcy≥10 μmol/l) (200 patients). PWV, flow-mediated dilatation (FMD), Nitroglycerin-mediated vasodilatation (NMD). high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), total cholesterol (TC). low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), blood glucose (GLU), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and creatinine (Cr) were measured on the second day after admission. Results There was no difference of ALT, CR, GLU, TC, LDL between the two groups (P>0.05). The levels of hs-CRP and PWV in H-type hypertension group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05). FMD and NMD were lower in H-type hypertension group than those in control group (P<0.05). The correlation analysis results showed that Hcy was positively correlated with ba-PWV (P<0.05), and negatively correlated with FMD and NMD (P<0.05). Hcy and hs-CRP had no significant correlation (P>0.05).Conclusion H-type hypertension patients have more serious vascular endothelial dysfunction and higher level of PWV, and this change is more obvious with the increase of Hcy.
