Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of self-efficacy nursing on anxiety and depression in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF).Method A total of 110 elder CHF patients with depression and anxiety were selected from January 2014 to January 2016, and randomly divided into group A and group B. Group A received routine care, with an average age of (72±3.57) years old. Group B received regular nursing and self-efficacy nursing training (including psychological counseling, verbal encouragement, patients' interaction, providing social support, rejecting negative messages, etc.) with average age (73±4.43) years old. After 4 weeks, the anxiety and depression scores were compared between the two groups using the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS).Result There was no significant difference in SAS and SDS scores between two groups before nursing (P>0.05). SAS and SDS scores of two groups were lower after nursing. The decreasing in group B was more significantly than that in group A (P<0.05).Conclusion Self efficacy nursing can significantly improve the anxiety and depression status of CHF patients and improve the quality of life.
