Abstract:Objective To investigate the prognosis and associated factors of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in elder patients with coronary heart diseases. Methods A total of 120 elder patients (>60 years old) with coronary heart diseases who underwent PCI from June 2014 to June 2015 were enrolled. Cardiovascular events and mortality were recorded after surgery. The risk factors associated with the prognosis of PCI were analyzed using logistic multivariate regression analysis. Results All patients were followed up for 6-18 months, median duration of follow-up were 12.6 months. As of December 31, 2015, 33 patients (27.5%) had adverse cardiovascular events and no patients died. Logistic regression analysis result showed that >70 years old, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipemia, cerebrovascular disease, left heart failure, triple vessel lesion, left main coronary artery stenosis, three and more stents were independent risk factors risk for the prognosis of elderly patients with coronary heart disease. Conclusion Active control of risk factors in elderly patients with coronary heart disease after interventional therapy is helpful in reducing the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events after intervention.
