Abstract:Objective To analyze the influence of rosuvastatin on restenosis after stent implantation and in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and possible mechanism. Methods ACS patients (n=110, male 57 and female 53) were chosen from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine from Jan. 2015 to Mar. 2016, and divided randomly, according to the operation order, into observation group and control group (eachn=55). The control group was given routine therapy and additional atorvastatin calcium, and observation group was given additional rosuvastatin besides of routine therapy for continuous 6 months. The levels of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin-35 (IL-35) and cardiac troponin I (cTnI) were detected by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) before and 48 h after the operation. All groups were given examination of coronary angiography before, immediately and 6 months after the operation for calculating net gain of luminal diameter and late luminal loss (LLL) and observing incidence of in-stent restenosis after the operation for 6 months, and counting incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) within 6 months after the operation. Results The difference in incidence of in-stent restenosis had no statistical significance between 2 groups after the operation for 6 months (P>0.05). The degree of lesion vessel stenosis was significantly lower in 2 groups immediately and 6 months after the operation compared with that before the operation (all P<0.05). The degree of lesion vessel stenosis and LLL were lower, and net gain of luminal diameter was higher in observation group than those in control group after the operation for 6 months (all P<0.05). The incidence of MACE decreased significantly in observation group compared with control group (18.2%vs. 5.5%) within 6 months after the operation (P<0.05). The levels of serum hs-CRP, IL-35 and cTnI increased in 2 groups after the operation (all P<0.05). The levels of hs-CRP and cTnI was significantly lower, and level of IL-35 was significantly higher in observation group than those in control group after the operation (all P<0.05).Conclusion The influence of rosuvastatin on the incidence of restenosis after stent implantation is similar to that of atorvastatin, but rosuvastatin can significantly relieve the stenosis of coronary artery and reduce the incidence of MACE in ACS patients. The mechanism may be related to the inhibition of hs-CRP expression and improvement of IL-35 expression.
