Abstract:Objective To investigate effect of repeatedly interventional therapy (Percutaneous coronary intervention, PCI) of multi-vessel coronary disease on contrast induced nephropathy (CIN).Method A total of 326 hospitalized patients diagnosed with non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (ACS) were randomly divided into repeatedly interventional therapy group (78 males and 85 females, mean age 49.8±3.7 years old) and completely interventional therapy group (81 males and 82 females, mean age 48.5±4.0 years old). Repeatedly interventional therapy means that revascularization was completed by several times, and completely interventional therapy means revascularization was completed at one time. Compare the level of creatinine and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) pre-operation and post-operation as well as the usage of contrast media in the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the level of creatinine and GFR value between pre-operation and post-operation in repeatedly interventional therapy group (P>0.05), while in the completely interventional therapy group, the level of creatinine in post-operation was significantly higher than that before operation (P<0.05). GFR was significantly decreased after operation (P<0.05). The dose of contrast media were higher in repeatedly interventional therapy group (P<0.05), while the incidence of CIN was lower (P<0.05).Conclusions Patients with ACS after PCI tend to suffer from CIN, so under some circumstance, it is conducive to decrease the incidence of CIN by completing the interventional therapy of multi-vessel coronary disease by several times and reducing the usage of contrast media.
