Abstract:Objective To probe into the raising level of serum cardiac troponin T (cTnT) and improvement of heart function after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods CHD patients (n=81) received PCI were chosen from the Department of Cardiology of People's Hospital of Gaozhou City from May 2015 to Feb. 2016. The raising level of serum cTnT, cTnT positive rate and short-term and long-term improvement of heart function were observed in all patients after PCI. The patients were divided, according to cTnT level, into group A (cTnT≥0.1 ng/ml) and group B (cTnT<0.1 ng/ml). And the patients were divided, according to ascending degree of cTnT level after PCI, into group C (ascending degree<2 times) and group D (ascending degree≥2 times). The incidence of cardiovascular events was compared between group A and group B, and group C and group D.Results The level of serum cTnT was (0.36±0.07) ng/mL after PCI for 24h, and cTnT was positive in 54 patients (66.67%,P<0.05). The incidence of cardiovascular events was 42.59% in group A, that was significantly higher than that in group B (P<0.05), and was 80.77% in group D, that was significantly higher than that in group C (P<0.05) after PCI for 6 m. The heart function was improved significantly in the patients after PCI for 1 week and 6 m (P<0.05).Conclusion The level of serum cTnT will increase and heart function is improved after PCI in CHD patients, while long-term incidence of cardiovascular events is higher in patients with postoperation level of cTnT≥0.1 ng/ml or level of cTnT increases by 2 times or more.
