Abstract:Objective To investigate clinical value of echocardiograph parameters on atrial fibrillation recurrence after radiofrequency catheter ablation. Methods 80 atrial fibrillation patients underwent radiofrequency catheter ablation in Baoji people's hospital from April 2012 to April 2015 were selected and divided into recurrence group (n=32) and 48 non-recurrence group (n=48). The echocardiograph parameters of two groups before radiofrequency catheter ablation were analyzed and compared. And the relationship between baseline data such as echocardiograph parameters and the recurrence of atrial fibrillation was analyzed. Results There were 32 recurrence cases in 80 patients, the recurrence rate was 40.00%. The diseases courses of recurrence group were obviously longer than non-recurrence group with statistically significance (P<0.05). The left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD), left atrial volume index (LAVI) max, and LAVI min of recurrence group were higher than those of non-recurrence group, left atrial active emptying fraction (LAAEF) and left atrial total emptying fraction (LATEF) of recurrence group were lower than non-recurrence group with statistically significance (P<0.05). LAAEF and LATEF were independent risk factors of atrial fibrillation recurrence after radiofrequency catheter ablation. Conclusion Parameters of echocardiograph has good estimated value on atrial fibrillation recurrence. LAAEF and LATEF were independent risk factors of atrial fibrillation recurrence after radiofrequency catheter ablation.
