Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease at different stages. Methods From May 2014 to May 2016, 68 patients with acute exacerbation of chronic pulmonary heart disease were selected as the experimental group and 80 healthy subjects were the control group. The levels of plasma BNP and arterial oxygen pressure (PaO2) in the experimental group at different stages and in the control group were measured. Results The mean plasma BNP value was 258.21 pg / ml in the experimental group and 4.31 pg / ml in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). In the experimental group, 38 patients with pneumocardial functional compensation had an average plasma BNP value of 222.10 pg / ml, 30 patients with functional decompensation had an average plasma BNP value of 422.41 pg / ml, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The average plasma BNP value in the experimental group was 131.22 pg / ml, which was significantly lower than that before treatment (258.21 pg/ml), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Plasma BNP levels can be used as a significant indicator of the severity of treatment and prognosis of patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease.
