Meta - analysis of trimexazine combined with Shexiang Baoxin pills in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris

Abstract：Objective To objectively evaluate the efficacy of trimetazidine combined with Shexiang Baoxin Wan in treating unstable angina pectoris.Methods randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of all tricamazepine combined with Shexiang Baoxin Wan in treating unstable angina pectoris were searched in databases as Cochrane Library, PubMed, Embase, PEDro, NTIS, CNKI, VIP Database and WanFang Database until March 31, 2016, while manually retrieving references of enrolled articles. Two reviewers selected the literature independently according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, extracted the data, crossed and conducted the methodological quality assessment, and used RevMan5.2 software to evaluate the extracted data.Results Eight studies involving 915 patients were included. The results of meta-analyses showed that compared with the control group, NST (WMD= -0.59, 95%CI: -0.74 ~ -0.44), ∑ST (WMD=-0.42, 95%CI: -0.54 ~ -0.29), frequency (WMD=-0.5, 95%CI: -0.83 ~ -0.17) and duration (WMD=-1.47, 95%CI: -1.67 ~ -1.26) of angina attack, clinical curative efficacy (RR= 1.25, 95%CI: 1.18 to 1.33) were significantly improved, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The available evidence suggested trimetazidine and Shexiang Baoxin Wan have synergistic effects, can significantly improve the efficacy of high clinical value, is a treatment of unstable angina treatment program a good choice.
