Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of three-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography in assessing cardiac function in patients with non-ST segment elevated acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS).Methods 66 patients with NSTE-ACS and 20 normal subjects were analyzed by three-dimensional speckle tracing technique. The levels of Left ventricular global longitudinal strain (LVGLS), left ventricular global migration (LVGCS), left ventricular global radial strain (LVGRS), hs-CRP, triglyceride, cholesterol, low density lipoprotein and high density lipoprotein were measured. Results Compared with normal control group, LVGLS, LVGCS and LVGRS were significantly decreased in NSTE-ACS group (P<0.05), especially LVGLS (P=0.008). Compared with the normal control group, the high sensitivity C-reactive protein, triglyceride, cholesterol and low density lipoprotein were significantly increased and the density of high density lipoprotein was decreased in NSTE-ACS group, the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Three-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography can accurately and quantitatively evaluate the overall systolic function of patients with NSTE-ACS. LVGLS which is more specific.
