Abstract:Objective To analyze the changes of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) in patients with type Ⅱ cardio-renal syndrome with different glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and correlation among them. Methods The patients with type Ⅱ cardio-renal syndrome (n=200, male 111, female 89, aged from 45 to 85 and average age=75.93±9.08) were chosen from the Department of Cardiology of Guang'anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from Jan. 2009 to Jul. 2014. At the same time, the patients with chronic heart failure (n=72) were chosen into CHF group from Jan. 2014 to Jul. 2014. The health controls (n=216) were chosen into normal group from Jul. 2012 to Jul. 2014. The patients with type Ⅱ cardio-renal syndrome were divided, according to GFR level, into GFR1 group (n=157), GFR2 group (n=26) and GFR3 group (n=17). The levels of SOD, LDH and creatinine (Cr) were detected and GFR was calculated in all groups. Results LDH level increased significantly in CHF group, GFR1 group, GFR2 group and GFR3 group compared with normal group, and was significantly higher in GFR3 group than that in GFR1 group (allP<0.05). SOD level decreased in CHF group, GFR1 group, GFR2 group and GFR3 group compared with normal group, and was the lowest in GFR3 group (allP<0.05). SOD level was positively correlated to GFR level (r=0.244,P<0.01), and LDH level was negatively correlated to GFR level (r=-0.207,P<0.01).Conclusion GFR is positively correlated to SOD level and negatively correlated to LDH level, and SOD level and LDH level can indirectly reflect impairment degree of renal function in patients with type Ⅱ cardio-renal syndrome.
