Abstract:Objective To compare the effectiveness of domestic and imported two contrast agents and their effects on renal function in patients. Methods 192 patients with coronary angiography were randomly divided into two groups: 95 patients in the R group (using iopromide) and 97 patients in the control group (T group, using iohexol). The blood vessel image quality of the two groups of patients was evaluated (using the Ministry of Health X - ray film quality standard, divided into excellent, good, poor three grades). The changes of creatinine, urea nitrogen and uric acid levels were measured before and 72 h after operation to compare the incidence of contrast-induced renal injury (CIAKI) induced by iodine contrast agents. Results There was no significant difference in vascular image quality between the two groups. The measured values of urea nitrogen (P=0.026) and uric acid (P=0.0492) in T group and urea nitrogen (P=0.0013) in R group were significantly different from those before operation. One patient in the R group showed a 25% increase in creatinine, and CIAKI incidence was 1.05%. No CIAKI has been found in the T group. Conclusion Domestic iohexol is as effective as imported iopromide in the process of coronary angiography image quality, and does not cause more CIAKI than iopromide, which can be used in coronary angiography.
