Abstract:Objective To investigate how to improve the training quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) skills in residents by using advanced teaching methods under limited time and field conditions. Methods The residents (n=202) taking parting CPR training in the Peking University Third Hospital were chosen, and 59 were given traditional teaching (group 1), 57, self-study through video (group 2) and 86, self-study through video before traditional teaching (group 3). The training time was from 75 min to 120 min according to different training styles. The training results were reviewed by using medical simulator assessment. Results The passing rate of the assessment was 100% all in 3 groups. The difference in tracheal intubation training had statistical significance between group 2 and other 2 groups (P<0.05).Conclusion The model of traditional teaching combining self-study through video is an effective training mode during large-scale training for residents, which is worth to be popularized and applied.
