Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between polymorphism of angiotensinogen gene T174M (AGT gene T174M) and onset risk of preeclampsia. Methods The databases of PubMed, EMbase, CBM, CNKI and WanFang Database were retrieved with computer for searching the case-control studies on correlation between polymorphism of AGT gene T174M and onset risk of preeclampsia up to Apr. 2016. The literature was screened and data was extracted by 2 researchers independently according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and after quality review on methodology the data was given a Meta-analysis by using Stata 12.0 software. Results There were totally 6 case-control studies included involving 692 patients and 1789 health controls. The results of Meta-analysis showed that there was no correlation between polymorphism of AGT gene T174M and onset risk of preeclampsia (Mvs. T:OR=1.06, 95%CI: 0.73~1.53; MMvs. TT:OR=0.79, 95%CI: 0.33~1.94; TMvs. TT:OR=1.12, 95%CI:0.74~1.71; MM+TMvs. TT:OR=1.09, 95%CI: 0.72~1.65; MMvs. TM+TT:OR=0.79, 95%CI: 0.32~1.92). The results of sub-group analysis and sensitivity analysis were similar to those of total analysis. Conclusion There is no correlation between polymorphism of AGT gene T174M and onset risk of preeclampsia. As the quantitative limitation of included studies, the conclusion is needed further verification.
