Abstract:Objective To investigate the cardio ankle vascular index (CAVI), ankle brachial index (ABI) and carotid artery intima-media thickness ((IMT) in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease (CHD) of the value. Methods From March 2015 to April 2016, 164 patients with coronary angiography were selected from the Affiliated Hospital of North China University of Science and Technology. According to the result of coronary angiography, Gensini score divided into 5 groups: normal coronary artery group (n=38), group A (n=31, Gensini score 1-40), group B (n=33, Gensini score 41-80), group C (n=32, Gensini score 41-80) and group D (n=30, Gensini score 121-160). The medical history, biochemical test results, CAVI, ABI, IMT values of all selected patients were collected. Results There were significant differences among the five groups in CAVI, ABI and IMT (P<0.05). The values of CAVI and IMT showed an increasing tendency among these five groups (P<0.05). ABI values in the five groups showed a decreasing trend (P<0.05). CAVI, ABI and IMT were correlated with Gensini score (r=0.764, 0.695, 0.702,P<0.05). Compared with the results of coronary angiography, the sensitivity of CAVI was 92.06%, the positive predictive value was 95.87%, negative predictive value was 76.7%, negative likelihood ratio was 0.09.Conclusion CAVI, ABI and IMT can evaluate the severity of coronary heart disease as early as possible, and the diagnostic value of CAVI is higher.
