Abstract:Objective To investigate predictive value of corrected QT dispersion (QTcd) and heart rate variability (HRV) in development of major adverse cardiac event (MACE) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods Patients with AMI who underwent PCI in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Medical University from Jan.2012 to Jan.2015 were selected and divided into MACE group and non-MACE group according to following-up results of MACE at one year after PCI. QTcd and HRV of two groups were observed and compared. Results One-year follow-up results showed that MACE incidence rate was 30.10%. Time from symptoms appearance to treatment of MACE group was obviously later than non-MACE group (P<0.05). QTcd and HRV of MACE group before PCI were obviously lower than non-MACE group and were improved after PCI. The decline of QTcd and indexes of HRV after PCI of MACE group was obviously lower than non-MACE group with statistically significance (P<0.05). Changing of QTcd and indexed of HRV before and after PCI were independent risk factors of MACE (P<0.05).Conclusion QTcd and HRV can be good MACE predictors in patients with AMI after PCI with good value.
