Abstract:Objective To analyze the influence of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on coronary microcirculation. Methods The clinical materials of 130 patients (male 67, female 63 and aged from 47 to 70) were analyzed in the CCU of Department of Cardiovascular Diseases in Hunan Xiangtan Central Hospital from Jan. 2013 to Dec. 2014. All patients were given PCI, including percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) and stenting. The changes of index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were compared before and after treatment. Results Before the treatment, the level of IMR was (20.41±4.49) U in all patients, and (27.99±7.05) U after PTCA and (28.48±4.97) U after stenting (allP<0.05). The level of hs-CRP increased significantly in femoral artery and coronary sinus after PTCA and stenting (allP<0.05).Conclusion The levels of IMR and hs-CRP increase after PCI, which may be related to short-time coronary microcirculation dysfunction due to pressure of operative instruments and vascular endothelial injury.
