Abstract:Objective To review the applicative effect of thrombus aspiration during emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).Methods ACS patients (n=100) were chosen from the First People’s Hospital of Zhaotong City from Apr. 2014 to Apr. 2015, and randomly divided into routine group and thrombus aspiration group. All patients were given emergency PCI, while routine group was given routine emergency PCI and thrombus aspiration group was given emergency PCI and thrombus aspiration. The postoperative obtained rate of grade 3 of myocardial blush grade (MBG), incidence of slow flow/no reflow during operation, operation duration, number of stents, hospital stay time, postoperative thrombosis integrals, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and peak value of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) were compared between 2 groups. Results The postoperative obtained rate of grade 3 of MBG was higher in thrombus aspiration group than that in routine group (P<0.05). The incidence of slow flow/no reflow during operation was lower in thrombus aspiration group than that in routine group (P<0.05). The difference in operation duration, number of stents and hospital stay time had no statistical significance between 2 groups (P>0.05). The postoperative thrombosis integrals were lower, LVEF was higher and peak value of cTnI was lower in thrombus aspiration group than those in routine group (P<0.05).Conclusion Thrombus aspiration has definite applicative effect during emergency PCI in ACS patients, and can effectively promote the success rate of PCI, improve myocardial reperfusion and heart function, and reduce incidence of slow flow/no reflow during operation.
