Abstract:To Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (HWE) is a common hypothesis in field of science and its importance is more and more predominant in genetic association study. HWE is closely correlated with quality of genotyping. Therefore, the coincidence between genotype distribution in controls and HWE should be tested when a Meta-analysis of genetic association study was conducted. The test method, and how to deal with the studies that were not coincided with HWE during performing Meta-analysis of genetic association study were introduced in the paper based on the emerging background of HWE.
