Abstract:Objective To discuss the Influence and clinical efficacy of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) on left ventricular structure-function in patients with frequent premature ventricular contraction (FPVC). Methods The patients with FPVC (n=76, male 32 and female 44) were chosen from the Department of Cardiology of Central Hospital of Xuzhou City from Jan. 2012 to Jan. 2015. All patients were divided, according to therapies, into observation group (n=44) and control group (n=32). The control group was treated with routine drugs and observation group was given RFCA therapy. The indexes of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-diastolic inner diameter (LVEDd), left ventricular end-systolic volume (LVESV) and left atrial diameter (LAD) were detected with ultrasound before and 1 y after treatment, and ratio of premature ventricular contraction (PVC) to total heartbeat was recorded before and 24 h after treatment. Results The indexes of LAD, LVEDd and LVESd decreased in 2 groups after treatment (allP<0.05). The indexes of LAD, LVEDd and LVESd decreased and LVEF increased in observation group compared with control group after treatment (allP<0.05). The ratio of PVC to total heartbeat decreased significantly in 2 group after treatment, and was lower in observation group than that in control group [(0.44±0.25)%vs. (6.25±5.04)%, allP<0.05].Conclusion RFCA has significant curative effect on FPVC, which can effectively improve left ventricular structure-function and is worth clinical promoting.
