Abstract:Objective To investigate cost-effectiveness ratio and clinical efficacy of danshen chuanxiongqin injection versus Salvianolate injection for cerebral infarction. Methods We searched databases (up to November, 2014) including CBM, CNKI, VIP, and Wanfang for the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of comparison between danshen chuanxiongqin injection and Salvianolate injection. Literatures were screened based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, then information were extracted. Clinical efficacy of the two drugs was evaluated by indirect meta-analysis. Direct cost included the cost of conventional treatment, drug, examination and hospitalization expenses. Results Based on result of indirect meta-analysis, the success rates were 89.25% for danshen Chuanxiongqin injection and 85.16% for Salvianolate injection, while the costs were 4130.36 and 5185.23 CNY, respectively. The cost-effectiveness ratio of two drugs were 46.28 and 60.89. And the results of sensitivity analysis were stable. Conclusion Compared to Salvianolate injection, Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection was probably more eutherapeutic and cost-effective for cerebral infarction.
