Abstract:Objective To systematically review the influence of statins on occurrence, duration in ICU, and start time and duration time of atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).Methods The databases of PubMed, EMbase, Cochrane Library, CNKI, WanFang Database and VIP Database were retrieved for searching the randomized controlled trials (RCT) on statins’ effect on occurrence of atrial fibrillation after CABG. The data was selected, extracted and given quality reviews according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and a Meta-analysis was conducted by using Revman 5.3 software and Stata12.0 software. Results There were totally 11 RCT included involving 1062 cases. The Meta-analysis showed as follows: ①the incidence of atrial fibrillation after CABG was lower in statins group than that in control group (OR=0.36, 95%CI: 0.27~0.50,P<0.001); ②the duration in ICU was shorter in statins group than that in control group (SMD=-0.36, 95%CI: -0.70~ -0.02,P=0.04); ③the duration time of atrial fibrillation after CABG was shorter in statins group than that in control group (SMD=-2.17, 95%CI: -2.52~1.81, P<0.001), and the starting time of atrial fibrillation after CABG had no difference between 2 groups (SMD=-0.0009, 95%CI: -0.14~0.15,P=0.96).Conclusion Statins taken before CABG has preventive effect on postoperative atrial fibrillation, and can shorten the duration in ICU and duration time of atrial fibrillation after CABG.
