Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of evidence-based nursing and routine nursing on the elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated with arrhythmia. Methods 104 patients in The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from Jan, 2013 to Dec, 2015 were selected and divided into two groups (52 patients in control group and 52 patients in experimental group). The control group received routine nursing while the experimental group received evidence-based nursing. The cardiac function classification, length of hospital stays, bed time and patient satisfaction were compared. Results The incidence of arrhythmia in the experimental group was 11.54% (n=6), which significantly lower than that in control group (69.23%,n=36,P<0.05). The result of cardiac function classification, length of hospital stays and cost in experimental group were significantly optimized when comparing to the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Evidence based nursing can increase the treatment effect of arrhythmia after acute myocardial infarction with shorter length of hospital stay and less cost. Meanwhile it can increase the satisfaction degree of nursing, which had a significant clinical application value.
