Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of trans-theoretical model in patients’ quality of life after coronary stent implantation. Methods 126 patients received coronary stent implantation were divided into intervention group (n=61) and control group (n=65). Intervention group was given trans-theoretical model oriented motivational interviewing, while the control group received conventional health education and discharge instructions. Medication compliance, quality of life score, the incidence of thrombotic events and mortality were observed after six months. Results Medication compliance of intervention group were improved obviously (P<0.05). The quality of life were significantly different between two groups (P<0.05). The incidence of stent thrombosis and rates of readmission were reduced (P<0.05).Conclusion Health education based on trans-theoretical model can intensify effect of antiplatelet treatment after coronary stent implantation, and improve the long-term prognosis.
