Methods The nurses (n=100) were chosen from Chinese Medicine Hospital of Wuhan City from Jun. 2011 to Jun. 2013, and divided, according to random digital table, into test group and control group (eachn=50). The layered-team nursing management was implemented in test group, and nursing posts were divided into 4-layer stereo-management framework: nursing group leader, senior duty nurses, junior duty nurse and assistant nurse. The traditional nursing management was implemented in control group. The nursing quality, nursing operation, theoretical knowledge and incidence of adverse events were compared between 2 groups after 3 m.Results The average age was (28.1±0.4) and average working time, (3.9±1.6) y, and there were 13 nurses with college degrees and 37 with university degrees, and there were 12 with professional titles of nurse, 35 with that of senior nurse and 3 with that of chief nurse in test group. The average age was (28.0±0.4) and average working time, (4.1±1.4) y, and there were 12 nurses with college degrees and 38 with university degrees, and there were 13 with professional titles of nurse, 35 with that of senior nurse and 2 with that of chief nurse in control group. The differences in age, working time, education background and professional title had no statistical significance between 2 groups (P>0.05). After 3 m, the nursing quality, nursing operation level, examination results of clinical theoretical knowledge and incidence of adverse events were superior in test group to those in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The layered-team nursing management can improve nursing quality, promote nurses to master basic nursing operation and nursing theory, and reduce the incidence of adverse events, which is worth to be popularized and applied in clinic.
