Abstract:Objective To discuss the application effect of continuing nursing care in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation after radiofrequency ablation (RFA).Methods The patients (n=75) undergone RFA were chosen from the Department of Cardiovasology of PLA Army General Hospital from Jan. 2015 to Dec. 2015, and randomly divided into routine group (n=37) and continuing group (n=38). The medication compliance, reaching of international normalized ratio (INR), incidence of major bleeding events and maintaining of good living habits were observed in 2 groups after discharged from the hospital for 8 w.Results The maintaining of good living habits was better in continuing group than that in routine group (P<0.05). The medication compliance and reaching of INR was higher in continuing group than those in routine group but difference had no statistical significance (P>0.05). There were 2 cases of major bleeding events and 1 with cerebral bleeding and 1 with gastrointestinal bleeding in routine group, and there was 1 case of major bleeding events (cerebral bleeding) in continuing group. Conclusion The continuing nursing care can significantly improve the maintaining of good living habits, while its effect on medication compliance, reaching of INR and reducing of major bleeding events is required affirmation through further large-scale studies.
