Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of elevated serum creatinine on the curative effectiveness and prognosis of acute myocardial infarction. Methods 80 patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) were selected from January 2012 to September 2015, and were divided into two groups according to the level of serum creatinine:34 patients in observation group (level of serum creatinine ≥116μmol/L); 46 patients in control group (level of serum creatinine <116μmol/L). The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) after treatment in 3 months and 6 months, the level of high sensitive C - reactive protein (hs-CRP), white blood cells (WBCs), neutrophil percentage, total cholesterol(TC), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL), creatine kinase (CK) and creatine kinase (CK-MB) after treatment in 6 months were compared between two groups. Mortality and cardiac events including cardiogenic shock, heart failure, atrial fibrillation were recorded. Results LVEF in the observation group was significantly lower (P<0.05), while hs-CRP, WBCs, neutrophil percentage, TC, TG, CK and CK-MB in the observation group were significantly higher (P<0.05). Incident rate of heart attacks as cardiac shock, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and mortality in 3 months and 6 months in observation group were significantly higher (P<0.05).Conclusion The elevated serum creatinine is an independent risk factor for curative effectiveness and prognosis of acute myocardial infarction.
