Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical significance in diagnosis of non-myocardial infraction induced abnormal Q wave by Electrocardiogram (ECG) combined with Echocardiography; and investigate the common causes of the phenomenon. Methods ECG examination and echocardiography examination were conducted in all patients during Jul. 2013 to Jun. 2015. 63 patients with non-myocardial infraction induced abnormal Q were found, including 39 males and 24 females. Results 38.1% were clearly diagnosed on admission, 58.7% were clearly diagnosed after admission, and 3.2% were not able to clearly diagnosed. There were 24 cases of emphysema, 7 cases of WPW syndrome, 7 cases of myocarditis, 20 cases of left ventricular thickening, 1case of dilated cardiomyopathy, 2 cases of obesity, and 2 cases of unclear diseases. The Q wave showed different forms dependent on the disease cause, the disease stage. Conclusion ECG combined with Echocardiography is an effective inspection method in diagnosis of atypical heart diseases with non-myocardial infraction induced abnormal Q.
