Abstract:Objectives To estimate atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) prevalence in elderly community population and to explore the risk factors of ASCVD.Methods We selected the target population through cluster random sampling. 2-trend test was conducted to analysis the relationship and changing trend between age and ASCVD. Multiple-logistic regression was employed to analyze the risk factors of ASCVD.Results ASCVD prevalence in elderly community population was 21.51% in Shanghai. The mean value of ASCVD group was more than control group as for the variables such as age, body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure (SBP) and so on (P<0.05); and constituent ratio of sleeping disorder in ASCVD group was higher than control group (P<0.05). 2-trend test indicated that ASCVD prevalence is higher with the increasing of age. Multiple-logistic regression showed that higher age, obesity and sleeping disorder are risk factors of ASCVD, and the ORs (95%CI) were 1.03 (1.01~1.06), 2.41 (1.60~7.24) and 3.66 (2.22~6.05).Conclusions ASCVD prevalence in elderly community population was high in Shanghai. Higher age, obesity and sleeping disorder may be risk predictors to ASCVD.
