The association between polymorphism of Gly460Trp of ADD1 and essential hypertension：A Meta-Analysis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the relationship between polymorphism of Gly460Trp of ADD1 and essential hypertension.Methods Case-control studies focused on relationship of between polymorphism of Gly460Trp of ADD1 and essential hypertension were searched in databases including PubMed, Embase, CBM, VIP, Wanfang Data and CNKI from the time of databases’ establishing to August, 2015. Two reviewers independently screened the title, abstract and keywords of each article retrieved. Stata 12.0 software was used to process the meta-analysis.Results 43 case-control studies with 12 309 patients of essential hypertension and 13 833 controls. Polymorphism of Gly460Trp is significantly associated with essential hypertension in allele model (Tvs. G:OR=1.10, 95%CI: 1.03~1.17), dominant genetic model (TT+GTvs. GG:OR=1.10, 95%CI: 1.00~1.20), recessive gene model (TTvs. GG+GT:OR=1.17, 95%CI: 1.07~1.29), and homozygote model (TTvs. GG:OR=1.20, 95%CI:1.06~1.35), especially in Asians.Conclusion Our meta-analysis showed that polymorphism of Gly460Trp of ADD1 was correlated with essential hypertension, especially in Asians.
