Abstract:Objective To analyze the influencing factors on the incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) in female patients during perimenopausal period. Methods The female patients with suspected CHD (n=140 and aged from 43 to 55) were chosen from Mar. 2011 to Apr. 2013, and then divided into CHD group (n=65) and control group (n=75). The levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and estradiol (E2) were detected on the second day after hospitalization, and body mass index (BMI) was calculated. Results The levels of BMI, TC, LDL-C, fasting insulin (FINS), insulin resistance index (IRI) and percentages of smoking and drinking patients were all higher, and E2 level was lower in CHD group than those in control group (all P<0.05). The results of multi-factor analysis showed that BMI (OR=12.37, 95%CI: 4.47~34.27), TC (OR=1.55, 95%CI: 1.27~1.89), LDL-C (OR=6.45, 95%CI: 3.05~13.65), FINS (OR=9.72, 95%CI: 4.40~21.47), IRI (OR=18.79, 95%CI: 8.59~41.09), smoking (OR=7.10, 95%CI: 2.93~17.14) and drinking (OR=8.68, 95%CI:5.56~13.54) were risk factors of CHD in female patients during perimenopausal period, and E2 was a protective factor (OR=0.36, 95%CI: 0.24~0.53). Conclusion The risk factors of CHD in female patients during perimenopausal period including the levels of TC and LDL-C, BMI, smoking, drinking, FINS and IRI, and E2 is a protective factor. The physicians in clinic should intervene the controllable factors as early as possible for reducing CHD incidence.
