Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of integrated nursing mode on compliance behaviors, life quality (QOL) and degree of satisfaction to nursing service in elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) complicated by heart failure. Methods The elderly patients with CHD (NYHA grade III to grade IV) were chosen (n=422, male 212 and female 210) from Jan. 2015 to Jun. 2015, and randomly divided into observation group and control group (each n=211). All 2 groups were given the same basic nursing and observation group was additionally given integrated nursing mode. The changes of compliance behaviors, scores of QOL at admitting time and discharge time, and degree of satisfaction to nursing service at discharge time were analyzed and compared between 2 groups. Results The percentage of patients with compliance behaviors (scheduled medication, regular diet, good mood, withdrawal of bad habits and exercises) increased in 2 groups after nursing intervention. The percentage of patients with compliance behaviors was higher in observation group than that in control group after nursing intervention (all P<0.05). The scores of QOL increased in 2 groups at discharge time (all P<0.05), and scores in 4 items increased significant in observation group compared with control group at discharge time (all P<0.05). The satisfaction rate to nursing service was 97.6% in observation group, which was significantly higher than that in control group (74.9%, P<0.05). Conclusion The integrated nursing mode, compared with routine nursing mode, can improve compliance behaviors, QOL and degree of satisfaction to nursing service in elderly patients with CHD complicated by heart failure.
