Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes and influential factors of quality of life (QOL) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for 6 months. Methods CHD patients (n=135) undergone coronary angiography (CAG) and stenting were chosen respectively from Apr. 2013 to Jan. 2014. All patients were given the survey by applying Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ) and clinical general date questionnaire respectively 24 h before and 6 m after PCI. The changes of QOL were compared before PCI and after PCI for 6 m, and the possible influential factors of QOL were analyzed. Results After PCI for 6 m, all scores of SAQ were increased significantly than those 24 h before PCI in 135 patients (P<0.01), which indicated that QOL was increased significantly. The possible influential factors of QOL were coronary heart disease (P=0.00), number of disease vessels (P=0.005), hypertension (P=0.01), diabetes (P=0.037), hyperlipidemia (P=0.033), smoking (P=0.002) and body mass index (BMI, P=0.006). The treatment satisfaction (TS) and disease cognition degree (DP) had no statistical difference in patients with different educational background before and after PCI (P>0.05). Conclusion QOL is improved significantly in CHD patients after successful PCI for 6 m. The types of CHD, number of disease vessels, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, smoking and BMI are influential factors of QOL. The educational background has no significant influence on TS and DP.
