Abstract:Objective To review the predictive value of positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) to development of aortic aneurysm (AA). Methods The databases of PubMed, EMbase, Cochrane Library, VIP Database and CNKI were retrieved with computer for searching cohort studies or case controlled trials about PET-CT and AA from database establishment time to Dec. 2014. The literature was selected, extracted and reviewed by 2 independent researchers according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data was given a Meta-analysis by using RevMan5.3 software. Results There were totally 4 studies included involving 102 cases. The results of Meta-analysis showed that AA development risk was higher in patients with high uptaking (PET+) of 18F-fluoro-deoxy-glucose (18F-FDG) by tumor body than that in those without high uptaking (PET-, OR=6.46, 95%CI:2.16~19.32). Conclusion The patients with developed AA show a high uptaking of 18F-FDG, so PET-CT has the predictive value to AA development.
