Abstract:Objective To observe the influence of cognitive behavior therapy on levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and cortisol (COR) in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods The patients were chosen from Jan. 2012 to Jan. 2013, and randomly divided into intervention group and control group (eachn=55). The control group was given routine nursing of department of neurology, and intervention group was additionally given cognitive behavior therapy for 8 w. The expressions of BDNF and COR were detected and compared in 2 groups before and after intervention. Results The increase value of serum BDNF was significantly higher in intervention group [(11.67±3.26) pg/mL] than that in control group [(4.13±1.10) pg/mL], and the decrease value of serum COR was significantly higher in intervention group [(26.05±5.52) pg/mL] than that in control group [(19.28 ±8.74) pg/mL,P<0.05].Conclusion The active intervention with cognitive behavior therapy can effectively improve the expressions of BDNF and COR in patients with cerebral infarction.
