Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between 64-slice spiral computed tomography (64-slice CT) and concentration of myeloperoxidas (MPO) in detection of coronary artery lesions. Methods The patients with chest pain as main symptom were chosen (n=254), and divided, according to the outcomes of coronary CT angiography, into normal group (n=89), stable angina pectoris group (SAP group, n=98) and acute coronary syndrome group (ACS group, n=67). The indexes of plasma glucose, blood fat and blood pressure were detected. The concentration of plasma MPO was detected by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and severity of coronary artery lesions was reviewed by using Gensini integrals. The difference in MPO concentration, and correlation between MPO and Gensini integrals were analyzed. Results The mean concentration of plasma MPO was higher in ACS group than that in SAP group, and was higher in SAP group than that in normal group (P<0.01). In CHD patients, the concentration of plasma MPO increased as Gensini integrals ascended (P<0.01), and MPO was positively correlated to Gensini integrals (r=0.51, P<0.01). Conclusion Gensini integrals and MPO is closely related to each other during 64-slice CT, which have some clinical value in reviewing severity of coronary artery lesions.
