Abstract:Objective To observe the levels of lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] and fibrinolytic index in patients with unstable angina pectoris (UAP) complicating hypertension, and discuss the correlation between them. Methods Of 116 patients, 36 with stable angina pectoris (SAP group) and 38 with only UAP (UAP group), 42 with UAP complicating hypertension (complicating group) and 48 being healthy persons (control group). The content of Lp(a), Plg, tPA and PAI-1 were detected respectively, and the correlation between Lp(a) and other indexes was analyzed by using linear regression. Results The levels of Lp(a) and PAI-1 were significantly higher and level of tPA was significantly lower in complicating group than those in UAP group and SAP group (all P<0.01). The levels of Lp(a) and PAI-1 were significantly higher and level of tPA was significantly lower in UAP group than those in SAP group (all P<0.01). The levels of Lp(a) and PAI-1 were significantly higher in SAP group than those in control group (all P<0.01). The level of Plg had no statistical difference among all groups (P>0.05). In complicating group, Lp(a) level was positively correlated to PAI-1 level (r=0.5890, P<0.01), negatively related to tPA level (r=-0.5899, P<0.01), and had no correlation with Plg level (r=0.1293, P>0.05). Conclusion The level of Lp(a) increases significantly and is closely related to the changes of fibrinolysis in patients with UAP complicating hypertension.
