Abstract:Objective To discuss the influence of statins on stress hyperglycemia in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods The patients with AMI but without diabetes were chosen from Jan. 2009 to Dec. 2012. A survey was carried out on patients’ blood glucose, blood fat, functions of liver and kidney, complications and oral drugs. The relative risk factors of stress hyperglycemia were analyzed after the patients were hospitalized. Results There were 316 AMI patients accorded with the inclusion criteria, and 183 male ones and 133 female ones aged from 47 to 89 (67±12.8). There were 105 patients (33.23%) suffered from stress hyperglycemia. The binary Logistic regression analysis indicated that age (OR=2.992 ,95%CI: 1.045-8.565, P=0.041) and statins administration (OR=2.852, 95%CI:1.051-7.741, P=0.040) were the risk factors of stress hyperglycemia. Conclusion Administration of statins is correlated to occurrence of stress hyperglycemia in AMI patients.
