Abstract:Objective To review systematically the curative effect of edaravone on reperfusion injury of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Methods The databases of CNKI, CSJD, CBM, Cochrane Library and PubMed were retrieved from Jan. 2001 to Aug. 2013 for collecting the literature about treatment of AMI with edaravone. The literature was screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, extracted and reviewed by two researches, and given a Meta-analysis by using RevMan 4.2 software. Results There were totally 9 studies included involving 604 AMI patients, among them 303 in edaravone group and 301 in control group. The Meta-analysis showed that there was no statistical difference in coronary revascularization rate between two groups (OR=1.14, 95%CI:0.63~2.08, P=0.66). Compared with control group, the incidence of reperfusion arrhythmia decreased (OR=0.29, 95%CI:0.19~0.44, P<0.0001) and LVEF increased (WMD=7.68, 95%CI:6.63~8.73, P<0.0001) in edaravone group. Conclusion The current evidence indicates that edaravone can improve left ventricular systolic function and reduce the incidence of reperfusion arrhythmia in AMI patients. As the quantity and quality of included literature are limited, and more high-quality and large-sample clinical trials are required for further identification on the above conclusion.
